About Reds

Reds Cricket Club (formed 1979) is based in Melbourne, Australia and is a member club of the Mercantile Cricket Association.

The Reds fields two teams in the MCA competition, where all games are played on turf. Most Reds matches take place at our First XI home ground, Flemington Rd Oval beside the Royal Childrens Hospital in Royal Park (map), or our Second XI home ground nearby at Walker Oval West. Many away matches are at Fawkner Park, South Yarra (map).

The Reds train on Wednesdays in Royal Park, at the Walker Oval nets 150 metres south of the corner of Walker St and The Avenue, Parkville (map). Training sessions kick off at 5.30pm.

The Reds welcome new players interested in playing suburban park cricket. There are no prerequisites with regards to age, physique, cricketing ability, seriousness or sanity.
